When we go on walks and M* is not in the stroller she loves to pick things up. babycenter.com had a great idea of taking a basket for your toddler to put things in that they find. Don't let the cold weather scare you off this could be fun bundled up or in the sun. Point out things like sticks, leaves, rocks and acorns.
